|

Set aside 1½ hour on Tuesday evenings for our Specialty Courses. Time to talk about your personal equipment and let's assist you with what's missing. During the evening we will have some fun while going throw the Knowledge Reviews that you have completed at home. Discuss some of the specific objectives that are assigned to our specialty. Perhaps we can find some interesting articles about this course. |
|
| Equipment: | Now it's time to think about trading in your wetsuit for a dry suit. What kind do you want, just look around. We have put together several packages for you to consider. The success and enjoyment of your diving are directly related to the comfortable fit of your own equipment. Together with dry suit, we recommend gloves and hoods. Let us guide you to your personal preference. | |

Let's Dive The Pool
The Excitement is Bubbling |
|
| Equipment: | If you feel you want to wait with the purchase of your dry suit, you can rent one for either one of the two weekends at $45.00 per weekend. The gear that you rent, may not be as perfect a fit as your own equipment may give you, but we will do our best to make sure that it fits comfortable on you. For the confined water, we always provide: 1/8" Wet Suit, Soft Weights, Air, Tank, Regulator and Buoyancy Compensator. | |
| Diving: |
You are responsible for packing your equipment and bringing it to and from the pool. We meet in an confined water environment where you practice neutral buoyancy, disconnect/reconnect the low-pressure inflator hose. Training of a stuck inflator valve, excess gas in feet recovery and more fun skills. Saturday or Sunday afternoon 3-4 hours We meet in an 84° F. Pool. At a relaxed pace, you learn and become familiar with all the equipment and skills necessary to become a good diver. We start in the shallow end and progress down to the deep end. |

The Islands Can Wait! |
|
| Packing: | Thursday: Come by the store and pack the equipment. The success and enjoyment of your diving are directly related to the comfortable fit of your own equipment. If things don't fit, we have Friday to figure out a better fit. For this course, we provide, Soft Weights, Air, Tank, Regulator, Buoyancy Compensator and a light Hood | |
| Diving: | Saturday or Sunday, we normally start at 10:00 AM. There are two required training dives, normally we do two on one day. In each of these dives you get a chance to apply the same skills you learned in the pool, but now in a real environment. We invite you to join the "Weather Permitting" lunch "Tailgate Party" Make sure to bring some food and utensils for this. We bring the propane and a grill. You are normally ready to pack up and head back to Albuquerque by 2:00 PM | |
| Let's Party: | You have demonstrated a mastery of some of the more advanced skills in scuba diving. An accomplishment worth celebrating with the rest of your fellow divers and the instructor team that made it all possible. The grill is going and it's time to fill in the final paperwork. Complete the log books and pack up. By now it's probably 2:00 PM and you are ready to head on home. Maybe you are ready for another fun dive. | |
| Certification: | After all course requirements have been met, we will issue your temporary certification and send in your paperwork to PADI. A week later your permanent Certification Card comes back from PADI for you to pick up at the store. You have a lifetime of diving enjoyment ahead of you. A Dry Suit Certification is your year-round ticket to extremely cool adventure. Whether you want to explore a historic wreck in a nearby lake, venture through magnificent kelp forests or cruise through incredible clear water under the ice - Dry Suits diving opens new doors to extreme dive adventures. More dive sites, different marine life, longer dives, and in many areas, a longer dive season are just a few of the possibilities that wait when you dive dry. | |
